Would NOT recommend. Bought my first car from here - the salesman was very friendly and said all the right stuff to keep me at ease. However when asked if the cam belt had been changed (due to the amount of miles it had done) the answer was skipped around and avoided. Once I’d paid for the car and drove it home I received a phone call the next day confirming the belt had not been changed and they were willing to do it for a further £300+ !!! I was absolutely fuming with the pure cheek of being sold a car with multiple issues that were skimmed over only to be offered to be fixed for more money. Absolutely rip off merchants. I also did some research some months later and found out my car is worth half what they charged me. Partly my fault for being so fresh in the motor world and I do half blame my lack of knowledge but I will never return to this place. I have 2 back wheels that after only 1 week have been deflating due to the alloys being so old. I was proper blind sided by these ‘friendly’ people. Don’t buy here. Money grabbing people that ‘look after’ new drivers.

Should you feel the uncontrollable urge to purchase a vehicle from GCS then read on. If like me you are no longer able to get down on the ground to inspect lower body panels for damage, then for heavens sake take someone with you that can. Next, don't ask for a test drive, but if a test drive is not offered then walk away ! The car I purchased from here will be put on e-bay sometime in the New year with a FULL & HONEST description, and I'll take the financial hit on the chin. I know I should have read the reviews first, but having now done so I feel that returning the car will achieve nothing. Im afraid I cannot recommend GCS !

Never buy a car from here. All polite and nice until it has been sold. Only had for a day and the management light came on. Rang them up and was told if we carry on driving it the warranty will be void. Paid £120 to hire a low loader as don’t live local. Did get a car to get back. When we returned 4 days later, they said they had changed spark plugs and coils, even though it had supposed to have been serviced before selling. When asking about the engine management light. They didn’t say a word. We drove off and 100 yards up the road the light came on again. We turned round and went back, but then it had gone oh. The warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. Management light keeps coming on. Took it to our local garage today, mechanic looked under the bonnet and no spark plugs or coils had even been replaced as was told. Also there mechanics and very rude. Just be aware. Don’t be taken in by the charm

I bought a car from here and, unfortunately, it had issues. The mechanics worked hard to try and rectify it at no further cost. However, due to my urgent need for wheels, I was offered an exchange. Although this resulted in a small financial loss this was very understandable and better than expected. John (owner), Maureen (sales) and all other staff have been so very nice and supportive. I really have found everyone to be ultra nice. At the end of the day, you can have faults with cars new and second hand; it is the way in which the after service is dealt with and, of course, the way you deal with people too. I cannot fault them at all. Nobody wants a car with faults; dealership or buyer. So, please, do not be put off by the negativity of some others.
